WSI National Capital Region Employee Referral Program
You can help WSI, a friend, and yourself by participating in the National Capital Region’s
Employee Referral Program. If you are an eligible employee, you can earn a cash award of
$500 (less taxes) if refer an external applicant who is hired to a designated open position for
our Department of Justice security contract located in Washington, DC.
Who is an Eligible Employee?
Any active employee on the WSI payroll can participate with the exception of the following: WSI
Human Resources department employees; any employees involved in the recruiting or hiring process for
NCR; Senior management (WSI VPs and above).
What is a Designated Open
Position?
Designated open positions are uniformed Justice Protective Services Officers
(JPSO) on the DOJ contract with the following qualifications:
must be 21 years of age and a U.S. citizen
must possess a High School diploma or GED
must successfully pass a criminal and credit background investigation
will be subject to a Government Security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for
access to classified information
must have graduated from a certified U.S. civilian or military police academy
must have at least 18 months career total law enforcement experience with full arrest authority, or
employment as a Federal or State Corrections Officer for a minimum of 18 months who received firearms
training and qualified to carry weapons as a Federal or State Corrections Officer
must successfully pass a physical examination to include a drug screen
must meet and maintain contract physical fitness requirements

How do I refer an external applicant?
An Employee Referral Form may be obtained via email by contacting 301-899-1552 or by sending an email
request to abrown@wsincr.com Fill out the form and submit it
along with the referred person’s resume to abrown@wsincr.com or mail it to WSI-NCR 4710 Auth Place,
Suite 700, Camp Springs, MD 20746 Attn: Ms. Brown. Once the resume has been reviewed for eligibility,
the referred applicant will be contacted and scheduled for an interview at the NCR office. They will
also be asked to sign the referral form acknowledging you as the person that referred him/her to this contract.
The following referrals are NOT considered eligible for the cash award:
anyone whose resume has been received and acted on in the past 6 months
anyone who has been a previous employee on the DOJ contract within the past 12 months, or has applied
and been processed unsuccessfully in the past 12 months
How do I get my cash award?
If your referral candidate becomes a WSI employee as a JPSO on the DOJ contract, you will receive a
cash award of $500 (less taxes). Half of the award will be paid once the new employee commences work
and the balance will be paid once the referred employee has completed six months of employment. You
must be employed by WSI during each of these periods to collect the payment.
Remember: There is NO LIMIT on the number of referrals a WSI employee can make, and there is NO LIMIT on the number of awards an employee can earn.
THE WSI NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION (NCR) OFFICE SPONSORS THIS PROGRAM AND RESERVES THE RIGHT TO DETERMINE
WHETHER OR NOT REFERRED APPLICANTS ARE QUALIFIED/ELIGIBLE FOR THE OPEN POSITIONS COVERED BY THIS
PROGRAM. NCR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MODIFY OR DISCONTINUE THIS PROGRAM AT ANY TIME. SHOULD THE PROGRAM
BE DISCONTINUED, ANY IN-PROCESS REFERRAL WILL BE HANDLED ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS.
