Our expert professional personnel support the Federal Government and state and local law enforcement in threat mitigation, training and education, and innovative prevention programs. WSI maintains a cadre of Homeland Security professionals who key on evolving strategic issues and who seek operational solutions to counterterrorist challenges while providing technical expertise in the support of tactical level, quick reaction emergency response and tactical teams. We provide HazMat training, development of policies and procedures, and training in crisis & consequence management. WSI provides Logistics support and planning and oversight of large scale training, field and table-top exercises for police and fire departments.
Representative experience:
- Pre-positioned Equipment Program (PEP): WSI procured, configured, stored and maintained major sets of specialized WMD response equipment. This equipment is strategically located in nationally placed depots; all equipment is rapidly deployable and ready to quickly reinforce/re-supply local authorities faced with a WMD incident.
- Western Region Exercise Program: WSI supported states and territories in the planning and conduct of terrorism exercises.
- 9/11 Commission: WSI provided professional staff support.
- Law enforcement: WSI provides expertise to major metropolitan police departments with counterterrorism planning and training.
- TOPOFF exercises: WSI provided exercise planning and senior level "controllers" for national exercises in 2001 and 2003.
- Office of Domestic Preparedness: WSI supported the formation and direction of a select group of nationally recognized first responder trainers and responders to review and improve Homeland Security training and education standards.
- National Nuclear Security Administration and Office of Secure Transportation: WSI provides training of Federal Agents and complete logistical support of national operations.
