Special Response Team (SRT) Firearms Instructor
Wackenhut Services, Inc., (WSI) security contractor to the Department of Energy at the Nevada Test Site (NTS), is seeking a qualified SRT Firearms Instructor. This position is responsible for analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, and evaluating training, including live-fire activities, in accordance with the Training Approval Program. This position interacts with internal and external customers in a professional manner to best meet both their training objectives and the WSI mission. The NTS is located approximately 65 miles northwest of Las Vegas
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
BS or BA degree in an appropriate discipline or equivalent combination of academic/military training and experience. Minimum of three years of experience in the training field. Demonstrated leadership skills, effective communication skills and knowledge of security practices are required. Must qualify annually with required weapons and successfully complete Company/Department of Energy (DOE) required instructor courses to include DOE Special Response Team Instructor Certifications. Must be capable of meeting the job related physical requirements and providing direction and any support necessary in an emergency situation.
WSI is a DOE Contractor. Candidate must have a background which would not preclude a security clearance being granted. In order to obtain a clearance, candidate must be a U.S. citizen.
