WACKENHUT ANNOUNCES 2006 CHARITABLE DONATIONS
AIKEN,, S.C. - Wackenhut Services Incorporated, the security contractor at the Department of Energy’s Savannah River Site, is pleased to announce that over $200,000 was donated to CSRA charitable organizations in 2006.
"We’re pleased to be able to support the local community," said James "Bud" Isom, Wackenhut Senior Vice President and General Manager. "We’ve been very successful in our security mission at SRS, and we want to give back to the community."
The Company, and its employees, donated funds to help support many organizations in the CSRA that provide assistance to at-risk youth, disabled citizens, schools, minorities, local law enforcement, health improvement, economic development and the arts.
"We have a group of employees who not only take their security role very seriously, but are also very caring and supportive of those in the community who need assistance," added Mr. Isom. "They routinely give of their time, talent and resources."
