LABOR DAY MESSAGE FROM JAMES L. LONG III
Labor Day is a time for family picnics or a final trip to the beach, a time to get the kids ready to go back to school... one last weekend before summer fades away.
But Labor Day is more than just an extra day off. It was started by the labor movement in the late 1800’s as a time to recognize American laborers’ contribution to the country’s production and economy.
As we start the Labor Day holiday I would like to recognize and thank WSI’s work force for your loyalty and dedication to providing the highest quality of service to our customers. Every success we have is a result of your contributions.
Together we have built a strong, responsible company known for excellent client service, the best benefits and training in our industry and an unshakeable commitment to the highest ethical standards. We believe our workforce is the best in the security industry and our continued growth, high customer renewal rate and low employee turnover is confirmation of that conviction.
It is also appropriate on Labor Day to recognize the strong partnerships that WSI enjoys with its labor unions. Over 85% of our workforce is represented by professional security unions. We have and will continue to support the rights of our employees to organize with the union of their choice. The right to a secret ballot vote in a free and fair election is something to be cherished and protected in our democratic society and WSI will continue to fight to uphold that right for you.
