Recently some former employees talked with reporters about incidents at the Department of Homeland Security headquarters. While allegations made by disgruntled, former employees may be considered questionable, Wackenhut takes any and all issues of this nature seriously. As soon as we were told about the specifics of the allegations, we launched an extensive internal investigation. The results of that investigation were shared with appropriate officials at the Department of Homeland Security, and provided in response to media inquiries.
We confirmed Wackenhut has met our contractual obligations required by Department of Homeland Security for the training and deployment of personnel at the Department of Homeland Security Headquarters, Nebraska Avenue Complex (NAC). Be assured that our personnel are properly trained, have responded appropriately to security matters at the complex and that the Homeland Security Headquarters is secure.
